Seriously??

Why is it that people give me candles?? I got 3 or 4 for wedding presents, and have 2 more as Christmas gifts (mostly from hubby's side of the family). Don't get me wrong, candles are nice and everything, some of them even smell pretty good, but I'm just not really a candle person. All the times I've gotten candles as gifts, I've never had an "Oh My Goodness! This is EXACTLY what I wanted - Thank You SO much!! " reaction. My reaction is more like, "Oh. A candle. *sniff* It smells nice. Thanks. *waits for next present (or whatever)*. My first worry is that they think my house smells bad. But, most of these people have never even been to my house, and all of them have as many animals, if not more, in the house as I do, so I'm not sure why they think I will enjoy a candle so much. I think I've burned one candle, one time, since May. Mostly they just sit around taking up space. *sigh* I will never understand the candle craze. But then again, I'm not fond of anything that has a strong scent, so... /end rant
