China, here we come!
It's all but official. We will be going to China in December so that M can get stem cell treatments for his eyes. We've applied and gotten confirmation. We have our passports and plane tickets. We're working on getting our Visas and vaccinations. We'll be paying the deposit in less than two weeks. I'm going out of my head trying to figure out how much clothes to pack for a month, how much/what kind (if any) food items we should take. We'll be staying in a hospital suite, which has a fridge and water cooler (because the water in China is about like the water in Mexico). There is a communal kitchen that we can use, with limited cookware, but not dinnerware or cutlery. Food and toiletries are not provided (except for a towel each). They have a decently priced laundry service, van service, and you can order-in food if you want to. M is alternating between excited and worried about the treatments (injections of stem cells in his spine and eyes). Our families are being super-supportive and helpful. They provide a blog for M to record what happens, but I will be updating here as well.
